Abstract
The conceptual metaphor COVID 19 IS WAR has shown a way of our thinking about the covid 19 pandemic through the characteristics and attributes of war. The irradiation between the war source domain and the covid 19 target region proves that our cognitive path is always based on the experience domain. Covid 19 is a new phenomenon appearing in social life, but people perceive it through inherent experiences. This study was surveyed on a number of official online newspapers in Vietnam. The survey results show that the Vietnamese people have taken the characteristics of the war to perceive the danger, the speed of the spread of the Covid-19 epidemic as well as the self-defense and prevention of the Vietnamese people against this pandemic.
